Very comfortable and easy to use right out of the box. This is my second set, I wore my first pair out after 2 years of use.

I was skeptical about these knee pads. Used them yesterday and they felt great, no more knee pain when pressed against rocks and concrete. Well padded and made, perfect size for a 5'6" person.

I'm demo/remodeling and have to be on my knees a lot and these really help. They are comfortable and prevent my knees from hurting on tiles, broken up tiles and subfloor. The hard surface has saved my knees from missed, exposed tacks and nails.

My husband has bad knees but loves to work in the yard and these have been a godsend. We just got a pair for his sister who is 78 and has had 2 knee replacements. He says that his knees actually feel better with these on while kneeling rather than standing! The gel pads are the trick!

Finally, a pair of Knee Pads that actually stay put! For the first time in quite a while, I was able to complete a job of laying down flooring without stopping to pull the pads back up.
The only drawback is that the Velcro strap is a bit too long, allowing it drag on the floor and pick up dirt & debris. But fantastic none-the-less.

I use these to install flooring and trim. The softer panel allows me to use them and not scratch the new surfaces.

I have used these knee pads crawling around on scaffolding, roofing, replacing plywood, preparing floors for tiling, grouting, doing sheet rock repairs, and crawling under foundations. They have performed better that other knee pads I have used. The straps are sturdy and stay up on my knees for extended periods. The gel has held up well. Highly recommend for value and function.

I was about to install a new wood floor in my office and decided to purchase a set of knee pads. I’ve never owned a pair before. The Thunderbolt pads were great! They were very comfortable and suffered no wear after a couple of weeks of working on the floor. Good design: Rubber over a hard shell protecting a gel cushion. The Velcro straps were wide and always adjusted with ease.

These knee savers are great, super durable, super comfortable with lots of padding. They look good, they are a breeze to use. They keep me as flexible as I need to be when I'm clawing around on the ground welding with them. Haven't really used them for an occasion where they have left me slip, but then again I normally only wear them when I'm welding. I think they're a good item and would purchase again.

OMG these knee pads are fantastic!
I have a knee replacement which makes it unbearable to kneel on that knee. We replaced all our base molding in the house and had to figure out how to to it without getting on my one knee. I couldn't and did one room in pain. I bought one other pair and those didn't help, I returned them. I tried these and could not believe how comfortable they were AND I was able to kneel and move around on my knees, these are a God send!!

I've owned these for years and whenever I get a helper to assist I buy a pair for them. You can spend all day on your knees, with comfort. Durable, easy to put on, take off. Worth, the extra money than the cheaper pads, I know from experience. I recommend them. The external surface of the pad does not mar flooring and is very durable inside and out, even on concrete. Tip: I put them on so the Velcro is attaching on the outside of your leg, this way the Velcro flaps don't rub between your knees.

I purchased these as an alternative to my previous knee pads that I could not comfortable wear very long, as the elasticized straps chafed on the back of my knees until my skin was raw. The elasticized straps on these are much wider, distributing the pressure better. I wore them on my knees for about 4 hours without chafing. The padding was also noticeably more comfortable. At the end of 4 hours, I did not notice my knees, or the knee pads, which for my knees says a lot.

While working on a generator, the ground cable caught both of my feet and I went down, knees-first into some granite rocks. I could hardly walk for two weeks. After having to kneel in these rocks from time to time, sooner or later you have to wonder how smart you really are. I had a wonderful idea. "Why don't I buy some Knee Protectors and see how they work." I'm just sorry I didn't buy these sooner. No, the ones the "company issues" you will still cause your knees to suffer. These won't. The company saw them, looked at them in detail, and recommended we should ALL wear them.

Seems to be durable. The only thing I did was put a L and a R so I can easily tell which one to put on which knee. Other wise I seem to always put them on so the Velcro straps are on the inside of my legs and when I'm crawling around it's sticks to the other leg and is annoying and can undo the strap. When the straps are on the outside of the legs of coarse I don't have that issue. Haha.

Did concrete this morning at work and these made my knees feel like they were on cloud nine . I have really bad knees and can’t get down on them unless it’s a soft surface and these made it possible to stay on my knees and work the concrete till it was finished. Nothing worse than having to stay bent over standing up trying to do a job and your not as efficient as I could be when I'm on my knees . Don’t know about how long they last but the gel feels great work in them for about 3 straight hours the straps held good and they feel great . Would definitely purchase again .

This set of Thunderbolt knee pads are the most wonder knee pads I have ever used. The first time I put this set on and knelt down I had to look to make sure the pad had not fallen off. It was that darn comfortable, soft, and well fitting set of knee pads. With the shape of the pads I had great stability and no shifting side to side. The knee pads stayed in place. It felt like I had knelt on gel, memory foam, a cloud, and cotton all rolled into one. My only complaint is that after many hours of continuous use the straps start irritating the back side of the knees. So wearing of pants and periodic breaks from the pads are almost a must.

I've had difficulty with knee pads in the past because they're always slipping down at the slightest movement unless they've been cinched tight enough, which caused pain and discomfort on another level. So when I decided to take on a diy paver patio, I decided to spring for a more expensive pair of knee pads. Totally worth it. Not only did these protect my knees with comfort, but they actually stayed in place. I could actually walk around and move as needed and not worry about them slipping down. Plus they were easy to clean, even after I accidentally got sand all over them.

The main problem with any set of knee pads is whether you can wear them and be able to stay down in the kneeling position without having to stand up to make regular adjustments because the bands around the back are beginning to cut into your leg.

Today was the first opportunity I have had to try out these knee pads while doing some heavy duty yard work that required extended periods of time on my knees. The pads were very comfortable (the padding is great) and the pads did not rise up nor slip down on my legs I'm particularly glad that extension straps for the leg straps were provided. However, if your on the thin side, you might not need them......but nice to have them just in case. I'm durability of these knee pads? At this point in time I can't say one way or another. However, one concern does come to mind: How will the nylon (I think) threading hold up against long term wear against abrasive material, ie. rocks, concrete and cement surfaces? I'll update this review after I've had more opportunities to use these knee pads.
